    Ordering & Payment

    Browse our online store, add items to your cart, and checkout with your preferred payment method. You'll receive an order confirmation via email within minutes. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay.

    Please contact us within 2 hours of placing your order if you need to make changes. Once orders enter production, we cannot modify or cancel them to ensure freshness and quality.

    Yes! Digital gift cards are available in various denominations. They're sent via email and never expire. Perfect for chocolate lovers who want to choose their own treats.

    Absolutely. We use industry-standard SSL encryption and process payments through Shopify's secure payment gateway. We never store your full credit card information.

    Local Pickup

    Yes! We offer local pickup through our Hotplate page. Visit hotplate.com/atouchofchocolate for pickup schedules, locations, and available dates. Pickup is free and a great way to get your chocolates fresh.

    After placing your order on Hotplate, you'll receive a confirmation with the pickup date, time window, and location. Simply arrive during your window, and we'll have your order ready and waiting.

    Pickup times are scheduled in windows to ensure smooth operations. You'll see available windows when ordering on Hotplate and can choose the one that works best for you.

    Our pickup locations vary by event. Check our Hotplate page for current pickup locations and dates. We regularly serve the greater metropolitan area with rotating locations.

    Shipping & Delivery

    Yes, we ship across the United States. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, order size, and selected shipping speed. We use insulated packaging to protect chocolates during transit.

    We use specialized insulated packaging with cold packs during warm months. We also monitor weather conditions and may delay shipments if temperatures are too extreme to ensure your chocolates arrive in perfect condition.

    Every box is hand-dipped to order in our Charleston kitchen — never pulled from a shelf. Most orders ship within 2 business days. Once shipped, standard transit takes 3-5 business days, and expedited shipping (2-day) is available at checkout. During peak seasons or extreme weather, shipping may take slightly longer.

    Currently, we only ship within the United States due to chocolate's sensitivity to temperature and customs regulations. We hope to expand internationally in the future.

    Contact us immediately with photos of the damage. We'll arrange a replacement or refund. Our packaging is designed to protect chocolates, but we stand behind our products if anything goes wrong.

    Products & Quality

    Absolutely! All our chocolates are freshly curated and packaged with care. We source premium ingredients and make products in small batches to ensure the highest quality in every box.

    Our chocolates are best enjoyed within 2-3 weeks of delivery when stored properly. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid refrigeration unless temperatures exceed 75°F.

    Yes, allergen information is listed on each product page. Our products may contain or be produced in a facility that handles nuts, dairy, soy, and gluten. If you have specific allergies, please contact us before ordering.

    Many of our products are vegetarian. We're working on expanding our vegan options. Check individual product descriptions for dietary information, or contact us for recommendations.

    Returns & Support

    Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. However, if you receive damaged or incorrect items, please contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we'll make it right.
